What this policy covers, in plain order

Eleven short sections. If you only need one answer — how to reach us, or how to have a message deleted — jump straight to the rights or contact section at the end.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and message content when you use the contact form. We also collect limited technical information automatically, including browser type, device type, and pages viewed, through standard server logs and analytics. We do not collect payment information because the site does not process payments.

The technical portion is limited to what a normal web server records and what a basic analytics script reports in aggregate. We do not build advertising profiles, we do not run remarketing pixels on this site, and we do not attempt to identify individual readers from log data.

  • You give us Name, email address, and the content of your message when you write to us.
  • We record Browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you read on this site.
  • We do not collect Payment card details, bank account numbers, or accounting records — the site does not process payments or host client ledgers.

How we use information

We use contact details to reply to your message and to follow up if a correction or topic suggestion needs clarification. We use technical information to understand which guides are useful and to keep the site working. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

In practice that means a reader who writes in about, say, how invoice capture connects to approval steps gets a written answer from us and nothing else — no newsletter subscription added on your behalf, no addition to a marketing list, and no third-party audience built from your address.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses cookies for basic functionality and, where enabled, for analytics. The cookie policy explains the categories used and how to control them in your browser. You can block cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as expected if you do.

Necessary cookies

Keep the site working: remembering your cookie choice, keeping form submissions secure, and loading pages reliably. These cannot be switched off from inside the site.

Analytics cookies

Where enabled, tell us which guides are read and where readers stop. They are used in aggregate and are not used to build advertising audiences. Read the Cookie Policy for the full category list and controls.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the site, such as hosting and analytics providers, under terms that limit their use of the data to providing that service. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of the site and its users.

When a service provider is involved, the agreement between us and that provider restricts them to the single job they were hired to do — hosting files or reporting aggregate traffic — and does not allow them to reuse your information for their own products.

Retention

Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and for a reasonable period afterward for reference. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.

If you ask us to delete a message before the normal retention period ends, we do so, unless we are required to keep a record for a legal or security reason — in which case we tell you why and for how long.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Access Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
Correction Ask us to fix details that are wrong or out of date.
Deletion Ask us to delete a message or contact record we no longer need.
Restriction and objection Ask us to pause certain processing or object to it, and we explain what still has to continue and why.

Children's privacy

The site is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

The site is operated from the United States. If you access it from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The updated version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
